I found this interview really interesting. It just goes to show that Blizzard has a cookie-cutter reply to just about everything. I’m surprised at how many questions went kinda unanswered. Of course, this doesn’t hinder the fact that I love to play this game, and by no means will it decrease my interest in playing. I just found the interview some interesting reading.

Sunday Night Bowling

Well, I’ve taken up the most improbable thing I’ve ever thought I’d do. I’ve joined league bowling. I am now part of a mixed bowling league. Tonight was the first night of bowling, and well, I’d say I did pretty darn good for someone who hasn’t bowled in AGES. This game marks your average, and I got an average of 87. Now, while that would be outstanding if I were to playing Candlepin Bowling, I’m afraid in normal bowling games, that’s pretty poor. Of course, I get a totally kick ass handicap now. So during the course of however many days, (it seems the league lasts like forever), I hope to improve my bowling average way higher from 87. At least I have my own shoes. (No ball yet though.)

Birthdays come annually for everyone.

Happy Birthday to Joelle. She’s like 31 or something. Enjoy it while you can. :)

Who else was born on this day? Hmm, let’s see!

Fukada Kyoko – quite famous Japanese actress!

K.D. Lang

Nelly

Of course, those are only celebrities. But let’s not forget it’s Joelle’s day really. :)

It’s time for the holidays!

Yeap, it’s that time of the year again. It’s my favourite season, what I just call “The Holidays!” :) Time to bust out your decorations and movies you love to watch over the christmas season. I, myself, am particularly fond of these movies (in no particular order):

  • Christmas Story
  • Scrooged
  • Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Any variation of A Christmas Carol. (Most of them, I think, but not all)
  • I just love watching those. :) If anything I try to watch at least those movies for the holidays. Then there’s the Hallmark commercials. Brings a tear to your eye they do!

Oh! I also started up a new “christmas-y” skin for you all to enjoy. Currently, there’s no way to change the skin, but hey, what can you do. I just made the default to the “pd-x(mas)” skin. It’s essentially the same thing, different masthead. I’m sure I’ll be adding more things here or there as I suit myself. But, then again, I might not. :) Just trying to keep things clutter free around here. It’s that minimalist thing.

    Happy Holidays! :)

    Beef…It’s what’s for dinner

I’m making beef curry rice tonight for dinner. I love curry rice. That is all.

    I don’t need a title.

Ok, since I haven’t posted recently, I will today.

Saturday, went to the Puyallup Fair. Tons of fun. We rode a few rides. We went there with Meesh’s brother and his wife. Her brother can be a riot! :)

We first rode the Viking boat thingie. That was fun! We also went on the Extreme something or another. I forgot what it was called, but basically, they just drop you from the sky after flinging you up what felt like 20 stories. (I’m sure it wasn’t that high at all) Now that was pretty damn incredible. We also rode one of the wooden rollercoasters. About that time, I was hurting. My back wasn’t agreeing with me, so I had to pass on rides.

Also had an empanada while I was there. Doesn’t seem like a fair without one these days. The last time I had an empanada was at the Ren Fair in SoCal. Now that tasted good! :)

We later went out to this one sports bar with microbrewery (because holy cow, they’ve got a lot of them here) and ate dinner. Ok, I don’t remember the name of the place, but they had the best artichoke heart dip ever. I loved it. Meesh’s brother commenced putting it on just about all the appetizers (we ordered the sampler platter, so it had everything), which was a pretty good idea.

They also had a 1lb hamburger. Holy crap, that was HUGE. Needless to say, after eating all that I did on saturday, had to have leftovers. If I hadn’t eaten anything else that day (especially the gigantic appetizer) I would have been able to eat that burger in one sitting I think. It made me feel better that Meesh’s brother couldn’t eat it all his though. Although he did eat a lot more. hehe.

It was a pretty fun day. :)

    July 4 Weekend

Because I’m horribly lazy (and busy) as of late, I’ve been forgetting to post the July 4th adventure of this year. Last year’s event was pretty cool, with fireworks in the middle of a gigantic field, basically shooting at each other. One of these days I’ll get around to posting that video. I’d have to find it as well. : )

This year’s fireworks was even more intense. (at least I thought so) This year, we went up to (my friend) Eric’s cabin. With a big gigantic fire going, we had some good eats, lots of alcohol was involved, and generalized fun. Come around 9 to 10pm, the sun was setting and it was getting dark, we walked out to the river, where fireworks were allowed. Let’s just say this. It was crowded. It was mega-crowded. About 30 or so groups of people were shooting off fireworks. These were the bigger groups with the mortars. Never mind the smaller groups with small fireworks.

Imagine if you will, all the smoke that resulted from the fireworks. I mean, you couldn’t walk an inch without being in some incredibly large amounts of smoke. Why even smoke? There’s plenty of it right there. It was intense. The fireworks were incredible, however! The one great thing about having so many people shooting off fireworks is the sights of the incredible fireworks. It was beautiful! I wish I had taken my camera to take pictures or even the videocamera, but this year I was slackin’.

There were a group of people who were behind us, shooting off mortars as well. Now, I don’t know about anyone else, but if I’m shooting mortars, and had a choice between a) potentially flammable plants next to me or b) a big ass river that has tons of water, I think I’d choose b. Nope. Not these guys. “Hey, let’s shoot these off behind everyone, and hey, if they fuck up, then *shrug* who cares!” Can you see what’s coming? Sure enough, one of their fireworks messed up and caused a brushfire. So my friend Eric, runs over there to stamp it out. Nevermind Eric had sandal’s on. I wonder if he burnt any part of his foot. Lord knows, he was so drunk, who would’ve noticed. : )

Aside from that, it was a great time. I felt bad for Meesh though, she (and everyone else) was encased in smoke and debris from the fireworks and didn’t like it at all. I surprisingly, did not feel anything drop on my head at all. But then again, I am hard headed.

    WoW Beta

I’ve been accepted to the World of Warcraft Beta. It’s been good knowing everyone. ; )

Seriously, I hope I actually find time to really get to play this game.
