So Google now has it’s own IM service called Google Talk (I will dub it GT from now on) where you can send IM’s, emails, or talk to your friends. I wonder how fast this will catch on. Pretty interesting. They dont’ have a client for Mac or Linux yet, but they do tell you how to set up existing clients for GT. I’m using it on Adium myself, and it *looks* like it’s working, I just don’t have anyone on my list just yet. 
The windows application is in beta, but the service looks to be pretty solid. It uses Jabber, which works for me. Of course, I can’t talk to anyone using Adium, but hey, I’m not complaining.
