Slap Forehead DOH! Voice:

It does help if one would check mark some links before pressing the ‘Discover RSS’ link.

No bug, but thanks Yoshi for fixing the error code so idiots like me don’t go running off making false bug reports!

Is this happening in the list of links or does it happen when you try to discover the RSS on an individual link?

I can’t seem to reproduce this. :/

Well, the method I’m working on right now will have the linklist work much like the weblog tag where it will try to parse the URL. (dynamic="on") What I’m thinking it will look for is something like /index.php/weblog/links/tag/keyword and try to take that tag/keyword and return only the links for that tag. that’s the idea at least. in that way it will work sort of like (and i mean sort of in the broadest way) del.ico.us.

Of course, this could all change in the future when I actually implement this. :) We’ll see!

As long as they can be passed into a segment, then I can use ‘em. Preferably segment 3 ;) That way I can combine stuffs.

Thanks ;)

Yeah, look for keywords aka tags in the next version. I’m still on the edge about categories, because in essence each link list is a category really, and keywords/tags will separate them out. Of course, the use of keywords/tags will be limited in scope to your own linklist. it won’t be global like delicious. that would be beyond my scope right now hehe.

I’d love the categories and link counting.. I’d be happy with tags instead of categories, but I can see a use for both.

Firstly thanks for producing such a useful module.

I think you should add to your to do list the ability to export a link list as an OPML. Secondly, I think it would be really nice to have categories for lists. Right now I am maintaining a “link blog” via del.icio.us and I would like to maintain this using the EE link list module but I can’t because there’s no support for tags/keywords. Essentially I would like to replace del.icio.us and maintain all my links using my own service. To do this I have to have two things:

1. The ability for people to copy my link list (achievable by having an export to OPML feature) After all the power of del.icio.us really lies in the ability to share links.

2. The ability to categorise my links using tags or keywords - this could also be integrated with the keywords module so that if somebody clicks on a category from my link list or blog it pulls up all related entries on my blog for that keyword and I’m sure it would be nice to have related entries from other blogs. I guess you could also tie it in with your tag cloud as well.

What I would like to see is a situation that the bookmarklet allows me to do exactly what del.icio.us does i.e.

1.)Bookmark a link

2.)Bookmark the link description

3.)Add some extended text

4.)Add tags (right now link list module doesn’t do this)

Would like to know your thoughts!!
