Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

I just watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban with Meesh, and we had a great time! I couldn’t believe just how much it’s like the book. Actually, all the movies have been so far. There are minimal changes, and a few things were omitted, but I felt that they didn’t really need to be in the movie. Sure they were entertaining facts and history, but I honestly don’t think they affected the story that much. Especially if you never read the books. I’m gonna have to pick up the rest of the books, as this is where I left off.

If you liked any of the previous Harry Potter movies, then I think you’ll like this one as well. Don’t let the fact that the director has changed fool you. I believe even J.K. Rowling mentioned that this story is a bit darker. And they do get darker. I’m definitely buying the DVD when it is released. : )

I enjoyed it.  I don’t think the things that were omitted made a big deal, but I saw it with two people who hadn’t read the books.  As far as they were concerned, it was still a cohesive story!  Some things don’t have to be explained in a movie.

I thought it was complete as well. while the small things that were omitted could have made it a tad more entertaining and create a better background, i think it was quite good.
