I have brought back the shoutbox. I did this one differently by setting it up as a new weblog and now is just like entering a comment on an entry. Rather funky, but it works. Still not sure if it will work out the way that I want though. : )
Updated: I took out the “new” shoutbox and put in my old one. My old one works just fine and I can inline embed it instead of using iframes. (which was causing problems with any autodirected page like logging in.) So a lot of shouts were lost. :)
On a different note, I ate way too much yesterday. Way too much. I think I ate about 40 shish kabobs. But right now I am hungry for food. Too bad the weekend is over. /sigh.

I was thinking about doing something similar, because my current pseudo-shoutbox won’t werk properly when I try to put it in an EE template, for some reason. Did it werk out easily?
The way I tried it with a weblog was ok. It had some funky stuff going on. But it wasn’t too complicated to set up. I had to use iframes which is what I really wanted to avoid.
My shoutbox code works just fine for me if you want me to send you the code. it’s only 2 templates. Just do an embed and you’re set!

I also like the live preview on your comments. Is there a “how to” for that around here too?
