Photolog Templates

Here are my photolog templates, available for your use. I’ve made them as generic as possible. There is only one page that requires PHP to be enabled, which is the Archives template. The templates are assuming that you are using a template group called “photolog”. It is also assuming your weblog is called photolog as well. You can always change this, not a big deal.

Here’s are the custom web fields that this template is using:

image : this is a text input field, 127 max characters, no field formatting.

thumbnail: this is a text input field, 127 max characters, no field formatting.

description: this is a text area field, auto <br /> or xhtml field formatting.

camera: this is a drop down list, no field formatting, and list all your cameras in the select options list.

location: this is a text input field, 127 max characters, no field formatting.

Also you’ll want to create a new category group and assign this to your photolog.

Thanks for sharing. :) I haven’t decided what I’m going to do over at http://www.mydigitalpictures.com—I don’t always have the same size thumbnails. Most of my photos I store at pBase mostly because it’s cheap.. and because I can contribute to that community and post on my sites.

Yeah, not all my images are the same thumbs. Basically what I did was decide to go with a standard of 100pixels at the longest side, and then put the images in a table cell that had a width of 110. That way, either way, they would look sort of centered. Although with the drop shadow it causes some issues.

I recently installed your Photolog tutorial, However While I have it working here: http://nightvixen.com/digitalvixen/index.php?photolog/index.php

I actually want it over at my subdomain: http://galleria.nightvixen.com

However I’m new to EE and I’ve folled the instructions for the sud-domains with EE However I get a Blank screen.

Any Help you can suggest I would greatly appreciate. I dunno If Its teh domin set up I’m screwing up or If I did something wrong with the tutorial for the photolog.

You might have uploaded the index.html instead of the index.tpl file.  Open the .tpl file in a text editor and paste that in or upload it as index2 and then copy and paste it over to the index template.

Thanks yoshi– I love this live preview– makes me bold when trying to use bb code.  nice job.
