I created a “quickie” plugin that will display an image (or text) if you wish, according to the current date, ala google. You can download it from the downloads on the left nav bar.
Everyone loves Super Mario Brothers, right? Of course you do! Actually I even liked the movie, as silly as it was. But my time now is being taken up by Mario Brothers. That link will take you to part 1. Holy cow, some great work with flash, and keeping the look of the original mario brothers game. I’m loving it!
You can find Part 2 and Part 3. Part 4 is yet to come!

I found this article at k5 to be rather entertaining.
One point though (and the author touched on this a little bit) is the distinction between talking like a woman or talking like a man. Japanese can be complex. But seriously. If you’ve got a Japanese girlfriend, for the love of God don’t let her teach you how to speak Japanese! I don’t know how many friends I’ve had that would try to impress me with their Japanese and in the end, I would just end up laughing. If you want to speak that way, that is cool. If not, then learn how to speak for a guy.
Another point (which the author did touch on), is tone. Tone makes a world of difference in Japanese. It’s the same in english too, but more so in Japanese. A good example perhaps is speaking like Yakuza. They have the gutteral, deep sounding tone. (I know this is stereotypical, but it’s just about true!) They also use different variation of words. Kinda like how people in different areas speak a different dialect. There is a Yakuza dialect ya know.
But alas, that is not the point of that article. I’d have to give that article +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1. It made me laugh. :coolcheese:
I had a really good laugh reading this one: The Fantastic Four. Nothing like a good democratic debate! (via eka)
Ok, I’ve redesigned my EE Blog. There were a few things broken in the template 07 when certain things happened, so I got off my lazy butt and reworked it. If you don’t see a new design, then click here.
The site URL has changed as well. If you’re bookmarking this site, the new URL is:
http://www.psychodaisy.com/index.php/ee/
a bit shorter than the whole word.
This is really old news, but I thought I’d post about it since I slacked and didn’t earlier. TextPattern Gamma 1.0 has been released. I’ve been waiting for this. Of course, it’s still Gamma, but it shows incredible potential. I’ve only installed it locally on my mac, but I might (should I find time) install it on a public web server. So far I like it.
