Not forgotten!

I’ve been working on a few things for ExpressionEngine. I’m attempting to learn how to write modules, but I’m wondering if I should just wait till pMachine releases the API so I have more information. I’ve converted a bunch of stuff that was on my site to plugins instead of functions. I find that it’s much easier to implement, and much much cleaner. Plugins is an awesome feature in EE.

I’m attempting to think of more “small” features that would work at plugins. If you have any suggestions, by all means, let me know. If you have any requests, I’ll try to take them on. I love a challenge!

I thought about having a download plugin, but decided it’s more of a module, and you can probably easily implement that as a Template anyways. But as a module, it would work a bit more seamlessly. I’m taking into consideration that you would want to have number of downloads, and other types of statistics to go along with that, which would normally be stored in a database.

Am I OC?

So when you go to a restaurant and you start straightening things (like the ketchup bottle, salt/pepper shakers), are you OC? Yet, at home I am not entirely that clean. My office is a mess. But when I do certain things, they must be a certain way. Is that being OC? or is that just a quirk? I think I’ve gotten better though. I don’t have the stuff in the kitchen as “straightened out” as I used to. Remember that movie Sleeping with the Enemy? Yeah, I used to be that way. Except for towels. Towels are ok to leave as is.

So I wonder if I’m just OCD or just have some weird (really weird) quirks.

I mean food can’t touch each other on a plate. No mixing of foods. Not allowed! Thanksgiving is tough for me. I also eat food in order. i.e. I eat fries first, then the burger. But it’s with all food. I’m getting better at that too. I’m not sure if it’s my most favourite thing I leave for last, or the reverse. Not quite sure. But if there’s a steak, mashed potatoes and veggies, i’ll eat all the veggies first, then the potatoes, then the steak. I could be saving my favourite for last.

It’s the whole Strawberry on the Shortcake question. Hypothetically say, if strawberries were your favourite fruit, and you had a strawberry shortcake, would you eat the strawberry that’s on top first? Or would you eat it last? And why?

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Wins the Daytona 500

About freakin time. Watching the race though, I thought for sure Tony Stewart was going to win. Now that was a great race. Not to mention all the celebrities. They had Whoopie Goldberg waving the green flag, Ben Affleck was the Grand Marshall, Leann Rimes, Miss America, and don’t forget the President himself. That was a fun race to watch. So NASCAR season is back. I’m happy. :-D

Angel being cancelled

Figures. I can’t imagine that Angel has been running that long. Since they got rid of buffy, I guess they’re trying to get away from the younger action crowd. Next thing you know, Charmed will be cancelled. Oh the agony. Why must people cancel all my Vampire shows!
