Kev wrote up a little rant about computers and education. I like some of his points about how no one needs to have a license to use a computer. That’s so true. Anyone can go buy a computer and start using it immediately without any knowledge or experience! Meanwhile, now that computer is on the internet and getting exposed to every single little thing.
I think it would be a good thing to at least educate or perhaps (yes I know this one is out there) take a small quiz/test before you buy a computer. The least people can do is to go get their friend that “knows computers” and ask a few questions. I’m sure that friend wouldn’t appreciate me telling everyone to do that. ;)
If anything, I just have to say RTFM. Because most people don’t EVER do that.
