The Tuxedo … not bad!

If you were reluctant to see The Tuxedo starring Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt, fear no more. As in usual Jackie Chan fashion, Jackie plays a “normal”, everyday guy. In this case, he’s a taxi driver who gets hired to be the chauffer of a very famous spy. I don’t want to give the story away, so I’ll go ahead and leave it at that.

All in all, I laughed pretty hard in this movie. One part that made me laugh that I didn’t think anyone would get was a small scene with Love Hewitt and Jackie:

Love: Oh my God!
Jackie: Oh your God what?

Just thought that was kinda funny coming from Jackie. hehe. Call me nuts. Glad to have seen this movie. I’d give a 4 out of 5 stars. If you like Jackie movies that is. :)

Your horoscope, Scorpio

“Don’t necessarily believe the things you hear today, dear Scorpio. On that same note, you should also be a bit cautious about trusting the things that you read as well. Just because something is in print doesn’t mean that it holds ultimate authority. Consider the motivations of the people and organizations behind the words. Communication with others is likely to be a bit clouded today so think twice before blindly trusting.”

Yeap. It’s like that old Japanese proverb. “If you believe everything you read, better not read.”

Ok, so cybrpunk and I went to see Bruce Campbell. OMG For anyo of you who don’t know who Bruce Campbell is, he was Ash from the Evil Dead Series, as well as many other “B” roles in many other movies/tv series. He was Autolycus, the King of Thieves in Hercules and Xena. But he is best known for the Evil Dead Series.

I just have to say he’s very very very hilarious! I loved it! I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard since I saw the Eddie Izzard special on HBO! Before we went I did not know that he was going to be doing a Q&A session, so I didn’t take my video camera. Big Mistake!!! From now on, I will always have to bring my backpack along with my video camera. LOL Luckily I did remember to bring my digital camera (so yes there are pics!) unlike poor cybr, who forgot to bring his. Luckily I’m a nice guy, and he used my camera to take pics. :)

I also did manage to get his latest book, If Chins could Kill: Confessions of A B-Movie Actor autographed. I haven’t read the whole thing yet unfortunately, even though cybr loaned me his hardcover (I got the softcover tonight, the reason for his signing tour) like 6 months ago.

I’m not one to requote or reiterate what he said or did, but there was this one girl who wanted him to say the word “workshed”. Hmm. Not sure why she wanted him to do that. Anyone know? LOL I mean obviously it’s a reference to the Evil Dead series. If you know, let me know!

Here are the pictures, in no particular order:

I’m sure if you want the gory details, visit cybr’s site today!

Love this photo…

As usual, checking out my hang out at Photo.net and found this incredible photo. Yes, it’s a photo. :)

It’s fall

It’s fall time. Autumn. Actually the first day of autumn was 9/18. So I’m late. I was sick. sue me. :)

I love the fall. Not because my birthday falls within the season either! I love the colour changes, the temperature changes (especially that!), and just the smell of autumn. Every season has that certain smell, but I like the smell of fall the best. It reminds me of times long ago.

If Sam and Jeff N. are still around reading here, (I hope they are) today is a day that reminds me of the time when we all went to Smithville Park to take some pictures. Man…I really miss that park in Jersey. It’s just off Route 38 in Mt. Holly, NJ. A really small lake, you wouldn’t even think twice of going there except for some reason or another it caught my friend Mark’s eye. I’ve got tons of pictures of us there.

Thinking about that makes me think about Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ahhhhhh Love those memories. I guess that’s what makes me like the fall the best. It makes me nostalgic.

“You expected to be sad in the fall. Part of you died each year when the leaves fell from the trees and their branches were bare against the wind and the cold, wintry light. But you knew there would always be the spring, as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason.
– A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway”

I just got done watching John Doe. I really love this show! It’s surreal, mysterious, and suspensful. Things I love about a good tv show. Basically it’s a man who finds himself stranded off of an island near Seattle. He awakes only to find he has no idea who he is or what he was doing there, naked. However, it seems he knows just about every fact known! “I don’t know anything I should know, but I know the things I shouldn’t know!” Oh, and apparently he sees only in black and white. Odd, isn’t it?

I love this show! It’s so surreal, did I mention that? He ends up assisting the police in solving a crime, all the while, really trying to find out exactly who he is. I just know that they’re going to cancel this show because just about every show I really loved got cancelled. i.e. Kindred: The Embraced, Twin Peaks, etc. :) If you’re into “weird” or “different” shows then you might like this one. I’d watch it!

Man…

1. is it a bad thing to go to subway and they know what sandwich you want?

2. I’ve gotta stop watching all these shows that have to do with food. just makes me hungry!

I’m now recovering. :) I’m no longer fatigued or feel like I’m dying. It’s raining today, so it doesn’t exactly help my situation. But I will persevere. What does not kill me only makes me stronger!

Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever comes out today. Anyone want to go? I want to see this movie! I mean come on, it’s got Antonio Banderas AND Lucy Liu. You can’t go wrong!
