I’m doing it…again.

I’ve been working on a new design. But right now I’m really stuck. I’m just not sure what to do. I want to be kinda “traditional” blog, but not traditional, if you know what I mean. Actually I have a couple ideas, but each one is just a fragment, and they don’t seem to fit in together. I’ll work it out somehow I’m sure. :)

Things I’m thinking about right now:

  1. I watch too many Japanese “doramas”.
  2. I don’t watch enough Japanese “doramas”.
  3. I will finally figure out a design for this site…again.
  4. Why ex-girlfriends continue to call, even when they know they shouldn’t.
  5. Why do people continue to be idiots on the road.
  6. Why can’t I win the lottery?
  7. In all the Japanese dorama I watch, anyone driving a car and using a cellphone turn on their hazards and pull over. Can you imagine what it would be like if that happened here in the US?
  8. 90% of all Japanese dorama ALWAYS have a love triangle.
  9. In 90% of Japanese dorama, when a woman or man confesses their love for one another, there is always a scene where the woman runs across a street and either a) gets hit by a car OR b) ALMOST gets hit by a car.
  10. I still watch too many Japanese dorama.

If you have any other comments about Japanese Dorama, please by all means post them!

The Google Challenge

I have officially entered the “Google Challenge”. Basically they choose a word of the week, and you blog about it, and you see where you place in results for that keyword. :) Sound like fun? Why not sign up? I did. :)

Just a mental note that this is about my adoptive father, not my real father who passed away recently.

  1. What do you call your dad? (Pop, daddy, padre, Bob, etc.) Dad. Pop sometimes, but only when I’m giving him a hard time. :)
  2. What does your dad do for a living? He works for Wawa! My whole family (excluding my mother), has worked for Wawa at some point in time. It’s a super convenience store. :) Anyone in the tri-state area will know exactly what I’m talking about. :)
  3. Is your dad like any TV/Movie dad? If so, who? I would really have to say that if I had to choose but one, it would be Bill Cosby. Remember the Cosby show? Yeap, that’s my dad. Now if you asked what he looked like, then Sean Connery. :) It’s almost uncanny!
  4. What is a favorite memory of your dad? Oddly enough, I can’t think of any. Most of the time, he is working, so we all really never got to do any outings or anything. I’m sure there has to be something. LOL I’m sure I’ll think of it later. :)
  5. What is the most important thing your father ever taught you? Oh my, do I have all day? :) Everything practical I learned from my dad. Don’t put your hand in the fire, son, it will burn you. :) I have to say that most all the expression I use now are from him. “Son, you’d make a better door than a window.” :)
  6. What is the funniest Father’s Day gift you remember giving to him? By far, it’s the greeting card that had the father standing in front of a tree of money. The caption read: “Now what am I going to tell the kids?” Because that’s what my dad said soooo much when my sister and I were growing up. “Money doesn’t grow on trees you know”. hehe. He got a good kick out of that one. ;p

Friday Five

  1. How often do you do laundry? At least once a week.
  2. What’s in a typical wash load? Regular clothes, towels. Though towels are a separate load. :)
  3. Front or top loader? Powder or liquid detergent? I have a top loader. Liquid detergent. I never cared for the powder stuff. :)
  4. Do you use fabric softener in the rinse cycle? Sometimes. It all depends on randomness. :) Sometimes I will, sometimes I won’t.
  5. Dryer or clothesline? I’ve never used a clothesline. Something about my clothes being out like that makes me cringe.
