This -or- That?

  1. Which is worse: a driver riding your bumper or someone pulling out in front of you with their car? It can go both ways. It all depends, but the person pulling out right in front of you is probably worse since you have to break or do something drastic. Whereas if the guy riding my bumper was behind me at the time, well, it would be a good accident.
  2. Can you do 10 push ups? Sure! :)
  3. Do you bathe/shower in the morning or in the evening (or at all)? I’m a morning shower person. I just couldn’t sleep in a bed after I was clean.
  4. Michael or Janet Jackson? Hmm. I’m not sure. Not particularly fond with either, but I’ll say old school Michael Jackson. :) You know, Billy Jean, Thriller days :)
  5. Which do you enjoy most? Your bedroom or living room? Bedroom!
  6. Bathroom or kitchen? Well if I had a real kitchen, it would be kitchen. Even then, I prefer the kitchen over the bathroom. :)
  7. Crayons or markers? Crayons! :)
  8. Leaves falling or flowers blooming? Leaves falling. I love that season. :)
  9. Fred and Wilma or Barney and Betty? Barney and Betty. I just liked those two. :)
  10. Fame or fortune? Uh, fortune thank you. :) Although technically, fame should bring out fortune, it is not always so. :)

Windows XP Power Toys

For those of you who might have missed the TechTV Screensavers episode where Leo talks about the Power Toys for XP, here’s your link:

Powertoys for XP

  1. Are you under pressure? I couldn’t live without being under pressure. There’s not a day that goes by that I’m under pressure.
  2. Are you tuff enuff? I think so. What doesn’t kill me, makes me stronger. :)
  3. Are you a material girl/boy? In some ways I have to say yes. But generally, I would say I am not. Money isn’t everything you know.
  4. Do you pump up the volume, pump up the volume, etc.? Yes, especially when driving. I’m a loud music listener in the car. At home, since I live in an apartment, I try not to disturb my neighbors, but if they’re not home, then pump it up baby!
  5. No, my first name ain’t baby, it’s… Yoshi. Yoshi please. :)
  6. I would die 4… A really good piece of peanut butter pie. Or better yet, some pieces of chocolate. I just can’t eat that now. (see previous post)
  7. I haven’t ________ for the longest time. …done too many things… I have a list of things I haven’t done in the longest time. The list is endless. *sigh*
  8. (thanks Lee!) Ever get on the floor and do the New Kids dance? Um. No. Not only no, but hell no. :)

While going down the cookie/sweets lane in the local Schnucks (A supermarket for those who don’t know what it is), I noticed sugar-free cookies by Murray Sugar Free Cookies. While normally cookies are a bad thing for me, being diabetic, I saw these as a good way of getting my cookie hunger down. So being the curious person that I am, I read the nutrition information. One thing I noticed was this line: “*EXCESS CONSUMPTION MAY HAVE A LAXATIVE EFFECT.” Hmm. So I looked up the ingredient that causes this, which turned out to be Polydextrose. Apparently it’s a “body-filler” and gives food a better “feel” in your mouth. It’s not digested, so therefore I can see how it has a “laxative” effect. You know, I don’t think I have such a craving for cookies after all. :)

Then there was this cashier who was just plain scary. I was just all kinds of creeped out. So I will now call her “creepy cashier person”.

Oh and consequently, “Willow” (I call her Willow because she looks like Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is back to work there.

I watched the Today show and saw some people from a nursing home in NJ. They were talking about how they were cheated from the Big Game lottery, and how a co-worker had reneged on the pool at work. The co-worker of course was not on the show, and has already stated that he did not buy the winning ticket. Meanwhile, the ticket was validated and nursing home workers are trying to get their share of the money. I just thought this was really bad for the person who bought the tickets. Of course, we’re only hearing one side of the story. But who can say! If the nursing home people split their winnings, it would be around 2 million per person. That’s a big difference from the 59 million they would have won if they bought it themselves! :)

What in the world is going on?

Ok, so I pull up the news and I see this:

Eighteen Dead in Student Rampage Through German School

Then I see this:

TLC Member Lopes Killed in Honduras Car Crash

The world is still a scary place. And here I am smack in the middle of it. I’m just in a state of delirium.

Ok, this is just plain hilarious. I love it!

Friday Five

  1. What are your hobbies? Photography, Computers, Reading… That’s all I can think of. :) Photography is a real hobby. :)
  2. Do you collect anything? If so, what? I used to collect salt and pepper shakers. LOL I know it’s really weird, but I used to do that. Until I lost all of them. During moving around, I think I might have left them at my parents house. Who knows where they are now. :) Now, I don’t do much collecting.
  3. Is there a hobby you’re interested in, but just don’t have the time/money to do? I wish I could devote more time to photography. I know it’s already a hobby, but I would like to get a darkroom going, get an enlarger, a bigger camera (Nikon D1 – nice!), and so on. But, that stuff costs! *sigh* I’ll be fine on what I have now. :)
  4. Have you ever turned a hobby into a moneymaking opportunity? Well, in the beginning computers was a hobby and sure enough look at me, I’m now working in computers. :) Designing websites and programming stuff was a hobby and now it’s my job. Somehow, you lose some of the fun when you know you have to get it done in a certain amount of time. It’s different when you design a site “just because I want to”. Of course you do get the occasional fun site and you enjoy designing it. But for me, those times are rare.
  5. Besides web-related stuff (burbs, rings, etc.), what clubs do you belong to? I belong to the joiners club. For those who have to join everything. *LOL* No seriously, I really don’t belong to any clubs.

XML is fixed!

Thanks to sevex I was able to fix my erroneous XML generating code. :) Ahh but now it’s fixed, I have found the error of my ways. :)

Haven’t been doing much on updates. Between playing EQ and working on a few sites, I’ve been seriously neglecting the blog and the cruising. *sigh* I simply need more hours in a day. :) Then I shall be happy. At least I think so. :)

Eight from the Eighties

(Yes, it’s late, but I haven’t updated in a while so pbbbt. Cuz I can never get enough of the 80’s.=)

  1. My lucky number’s… are 7 and 32. Don’t ask me why. They just seem to be so. :)
  2. Are you super freaky, yow? Yes. I’m quite freaky. At least I think so. :) ack…thanks deb, now I will have to find this song or it will be in my head all day. :)
  3. Do you drink? Do you smoke? What do you do? I rarely drink, but I smoke, and that’s all I do. :) I was going to have something witty to say here…but I lost it.
  4. What *do* boys like? They want lots of things. You know, “whoever dies with the most toys wins.” Boys want all the cool stuff. Oh and chicks too. LOL
  5. Is heaven a place on Earth? Of course, there is definitely heaven in Hawaii. :) Or La Jolla, SoCal. Or … too many to mention! (and yet another song that I will have to find! *giving deb the stinky eye* LOL)
  6. Have you ever been in a bizarre love triangle? OMG yes. Alas here I am, still alone. :) Which could be a good thing. ;p
  7. Do you get physical, physical? OMG no. I should though. I really need to get back into…anything. I should exercise and lose this extra tonnage I’ve got. :)
  8. Shout, shout, let it all out. These are the things we can do without…come on. :) I’m talking to you, come on!
